Look what we took out of our creek recently

Over the years, our watershed has been used as a dump. This short-sided approach is no longer appropriate. Here is a partial list of 'stuff' members of the watershed council have removed from the creek over the last decade:

A 6'x10' garbage pile that flowed out of two shacks down into the creek; the two shacks(ea. about 10'x12' two stories high);a entire 15' house trailer-in a ravine that flows w/water during the winter; remnants of a meth lab; irragation equipment; 3 engines; 4 transmissions; misc. car parts (doors, fenders, seats, dashboards, wheels); 3 gallon jugs of motor oil floating down the stream; a toilet; sinks; furnace; woodstove; water heater; 3 culverts; most of an entire house that fell into the creek upstream; removed 3+ acres of non-native invasive species (ivy poison hemlock); two mid-sized dumpsters of misc. trash.....
